More Than 60 Years of Faithful Partnership

Since 1963, MBF has brought people of faith together with Christian healthcare leaders around the world — strengthening the ministries that provide excellent care and extend the hope of Jesus.

A Conviction That Still Guides Us

Around the world, Christian healthcare workers serve people at some of life's most vulnerable moments. They care for mothers giving birth, children fighting illness, families facing unexpected emergencies, and patients searching for healing and hope.

Medical Benevolence Foundation was founded in 1963 with a mission to demonstrate the gospel of Jesus by encouraging and participating in the healing ministries of our worldwide partners.

MBF began within the Presbyterian Church, connecting churches and individuals in the United States with missionaries, hospitals, clinics, and nursing schools around the world. Together, they supported mission workers, supplied essential medical resources, strengthened healthcare facilities, educated nurses, and helped Christian healing ministries continue serving their communities.

An Independent Ministry, the Same Calling

Today, MBF is an independent Christian ministry that partners with churches, individuals, and Christian healthcare organizations across denominations. Building on this faithful foundation, MBF continues strengthening healthcare ministries that provide excellent care and extend the hope of Jesus.

We believe Christian healthcare is most faithful when it pursues excellent medical care and extends the hope of Jesus with equal commitment. We are dedicated to strengthening both together as God intended.

    Going Beyond

MBF continues to strengthen current partnerships while prayerfully exploring where its model can serve new healthcare ministries, countries, and communities.

An Approach Shaped by Experience

Decades of partnership have taught MBF that enduring healthcare requires more than a building, a shipment of equipment, or a single training event.

Healthcare ministries grow stronger when their organizations, clinical care, and spiritual ministry are strengthened together. Today, MBF brings its experience together through three interconnected areas of impact.

Through this whole-institution approach, MBF helps local Christian healthcare ministries become stronger today and remain ready for the generations that will depend on them tomorrow.

The Story Is Still Being Written

In Acts 1:8, Jesus calls His disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. That call continues to shape MBF's vision.

Today, MBF is deepening partnerships in the places where we currently serve while prayerfully exploring new countries and communities. Wherever God leads next, MBF will carry forward the same commitment: mobilizing leaders, multiplying healing, and magnifying Jesus.

The countries may change and the partnerships may grow, but the purpose remains constant — helping Christian healthcare ministries provide excellent care and point patients and families beyond physical healing to the eternal hope found in Jesus.
