Learn. Serve. Grow.
MBF’s Beyond Fellowship is designed for emerging healthcare professionals who want to explore how their skills, faith, and calling can be used to serve others through global health. Whether pursuing a career in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, or another healthcare field, Fellows share a desire to learn, serve, and grow through meaningful medical mission experiences.
Fellows have the opportunity to serve alongside healthcare professionals and organizations caring for communities around the world. Through these experiences, students gain a broader perspective on healthcare, learn from those serving in different contexts, and see firsthand how excellent medicine and the hope of Jesus can work together to bring healing.
We hope the experience shapes not only where Fellows choose to serve, but how they approach their calling to healthcare for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Applicants are responsible for identifying an eligible medical mission experience through an established sending organization. MBF provides fellowship support but does not organize or operate the trip.
Do I need to be accepted for my trip before I apply?
Applicants may begin the application process while acceptance is pending, but confirmation of acceptance or registration for the proposed medical mission experience will be required before fellowship funding is finalized.
Does my trip have to be through MBF?
No. Eligible experiences may be operated by established medical mission organizations outside of MBF.
Can MBF connect me with one of its partner hospitals?
MBF works alongside Christian hospitals and healthcare ministries in several countries. When appropriate opportunities exist, MBF may be able to facilitate an introduction for students interested in learning more about serving with a partner organization. An introduction does not guarantee placement or acceptance.
