Andy has over 30 years of international hospital management and medical industry experience. Prior to joining MBF as CEO in 2012, Andy developed and directed CURE Clubfoot Worldwide, the largest clubfoot training and treatment program in the developing world. During his time with CURE International he also served as Executive Director of the AIC-CURE International Children's Hospital in Kijabe, Kenya.
Andy began his healthcare career working in a number of community and regional hospitals in the U.S. He has also worked for major international companies Siemens Medical Systems and Aventis Pharmaceuticals. When he's not visiting MBF missions in developing countries, you can find Andy at home in Houston, Texas, where he and his wife enjoy their local church, classic cars and family.
Greg joined MBF as CFO with 35 years of financial and leadership experience in corporate and entrepreneurial settings. During his 12-year career at Waste Management, he led the Strategic and Financial Planning functions and engaged their shareholders as the head of Investor Relations. More recently he has been the CFO for two privately held start-ups. Greg also has significant experience in the areas of financial analysis, enterprise-wide system implementations and financial shared-service processing, which he developed while at Chevron and Tenneco.
Greg has a BS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His wife Lisa and he are long-time Houstonians and members of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. They have two adult children who also reside in Houston.
Dr. Douglas Lungu formerly served as the Director of the Daey-ang Luke Hospital and as Director of Ekwendeni Hospital, both located in Malawi. He also served as the Director of Clinical Services in the Ministry of Health, Malawi, where he spearheaded many nationwide HIV-related programs and led the establishment of the first faith-based college for registered nurses in the country.
He is a founding member of the Society of Medical Doctors, which aims to encourage professionalism within the medical fraternity. He is also a founding Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). Douglas lives in Mzuzu, Malawi where he enjoys spending time with his family.
Sara Campbell most recently was the founding dean of the Lee University School of Nursing in Cleveland, TN which she developed and led for 10 years. As part of establishing the new BSN as well as the DNP programs, she also developed collaborative international relationships in Mozambique, Kenya and Indonesia. Not the least of which, her leadership included planning and constructing a 41,000 sq. ft. facility with a state-of-the-art simulation center.
Prior to Lee University she served as Dean at University of South Carolina Aiken, School of Nursing, and was also teaching faculty at Illinois Status University and University of Iowa.
She has her PhD from Indiana University, Master's from Illinois State and BSN from Mennonite College of Nursing in Bloomington, IL.
As Vice President of Partner Engagement, Patrick is responsible for setting and implementing strategy to connect U.S. partners with overseas partners. He leads an MBF team, which spans coast to coast, engaging churches, foundations, families, and individuals in medical ministry in developing countries.
Patrick was CEO of five different chambers of commerce and founded 4ward Consulting, a management consultancy, before joining MBF in 2018. He and his family share their blessings by finding opportunities to serve as the hands of Christ through a variety of mission and outreach efforts. In his spare time, Patrick is an avid gardener, foodie, aspiring Spartan racer, and 'dog-fa-ther.'
Mike Sharpmack combines a profound commitment to faith with extensive expertise in healthcare management, enriching our team with his dual background. Following his graduation from Bible college, Mike devoted ten years to full-time ministry, reflecting his deep-seated dedication to serving the Lord. He spent the subsequent decade gaining experience in hospital development and management.
Mark Forshaw is originally from Liverpool, England and for most of his career has worked globally in Health Care Management, Christian mission and community non-profits in four continents. This includes service with Community Hospitals in the UK, Africa Inland Mission, the World Health Organization, Tearfund UK and Bible Societies. He has published on the subject of Christian responses to community health and social challenges and has spoken on these issues at the WHO, the White House and at a U.S. Congressional Staff Briefing. He led Global Scripture Impact, a leader in measuring non-profit and spiritual impact and was also Adjunct Professor at Cairn University in non-profit effectiveness.
Dr. Muthoni Magayu's background in medicine and ministry uniquely equips her to lead and grow MBF's focus on Spiritual Ministry through mission hospitals, clinics, and nursing schools. Dr. Magayu holds a medical degree from the University of Nairobi and is finalizing a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical studies from Africa International University and an MBA from Daystar University.
She has over ten years of GP clinical practice and management experience. Her prior positions include leadership roles at Mater Misericordiae Hospital, a Catholic mission hospital in Nairobi, and she serves as a student pastor with Christ is the Answer ministries. When she has free time, Muthoni enjoys spending time with her children and gardening.
Sherri Jones, an esteemed Oral Roberts University alumna, stands out as a master communicator and strategist dedicated to elevating individuals and businesses by refining their messaging and expanding their brands. With a robust background spanning over 13 years in marketing and media, Sherri has honed her expertise in leading diverse teams to drive significant bottom-line achievements.
Armed with a Master of Business Administration and enriched by her extensive experience across multiple business landscapes, Sherri is passionately committed to enhancing brand profitability and operational efficiency. Pete Bloss is counsel with Hagwood and Tipton, PC, specializing in Health Care Law.
He has been in the mission field in Haiti and in Lebanon where he saw firsthand the need for medical missions. Pete has also been Director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Interfaith Disaster Task Force.
He lives in Mississippi where he loves to spend time with family and enjoy outdoor activities.
Dr. Bonnell is a pediatric emergency medicine physician who has practiced in large children's hospitals for over 20 years. He is also Director of Service Learning Assistant Professor at Texas Christian University and UNTHSC School of Medicine.
Dr. Bonnell was formerly the Director of Global Health for the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, Austin, and Dell Children's Medical Center. In this role, he led medical projects in Haiti, Kenya and Guatemala.
Ric and his wife, who is also a physician, started a free clinic in Texas in 2008, where they continue to see indigent patients weekly. Their international medical mission work began in Haiti in 2007. A noted speaker and author, Dr. Bonnell also owns a working ranch and loves fishing and basketball.
Frank Dyer II serves as the esteemed Chief Operating Officer at T.D. Jakes Ministries, where he expertly manages key aspects such as strategy, marketing, sales, and human resources. His influence further extends to transformative roles at T.O.R.1 and United MegaCare. With a seasoned background in the corporate sector, Frank's transition to the non-profit realm has been marked by significant contributions and leadership excellence.
Prior to his current role, Frank had an illustrious career spanning over 30 years as a senior operation executive with several Fortune 500 companies, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Phillip Morris. In these roles, he excelled in information management, risk compliance, and credit and mortgage servicing, focusing on process improvement and strategic transformation. As a mentor and advocate for diversity and inclusion, especially in consumer goods manufacturing, Frank has shaped the careers of many managers and leaders.

Dr. Diane Foley is Chief Medical Officer for Public Health, Longview Technical Solutions. Following retirement from her career as a pediatric physician, Dr. Foley was Director of Medical Ministries for the Wesleyan Church and more recently, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
She has provided short-term medical care while on medical mission in Africa, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
When time permits, she enjoys spending time with her ten grandchildren.
Pauline (Tony) Hilton is a National Program Manager for the Veterans Health Administration. She holds a Doctorate in Public Health and is a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.
In addition to her work with the VA Health System, Hilton has extensive international experience. Her charitable work extends from her local community outward to medical missions abroad. She is particularly adept at building coalition groups to support communities in need.
Her interests include music and travel.
David Jimenez is Senior Partner and Founder, CEO Advisory Network, a partnership of retired executives who provide value-driven strategies to the healthcare industry. Prior to this role, he was President and COO for Catholic Healthcare Part-ners, a $4.5B multi-institutional health network, now known as Bon Secours Mercy Health System.
Named by Modern Healthcare among the 100 Most Powerful People in Healthcare, Mr. Jimenez has a heart for serving others that started when he accompanied his father on mission trips as a child.
Rev. Brian Marsh is the Senior Pastor of Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. Rev. Marsh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Divinity degree. Brian brings a long history of spiritual ministry and a keen interest and background in supporting medical missions.
When he isn't ministering to others, you can find him working on cars, mountain biking or just enjoying the outdoors.
Aaron Ostermann is a distinguished senior executive with a rich background in general management, board advisory, and leadership in North American operations. He brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit work, sales optimization, and marketing, and has a notable record in business development, distribution, P&L management, and change management. Aaron is known for his servant leadership approach and adeptness in strategic planning, financial oversight, and process improvement.
His journey is deeply intertwined with his Christian faith, which has been a guiding force since his youth. Aaron's education at Cedarville University, where he studied Management/Marketing with a minor in Bible, further solidified his commitment to integrating faith with professional endeavors. Shawn Powers is the COO of a health technology company. He has lived in Asia and North America and has worked professionally on projects spanning five continents. He has dedicated a significant portion of his life's work to opening healthcare access to the medically underserved and unserved. Shawn is credited with leading the effort that built the first federally qualified health center in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward, where he first served as a consultant and later as CEO. He has also participated in unique healthcare endeavors globally, such as leading a multi-national consulting team to the capital of North Korea in support of the development of that nation's first pediatric cerebral palsy rehab center. Shawn has also led a major US health system as its System Vice President of Strategy and Foresight, where among his focuses were identifying the emergent top-of-the-funnel market disruptors, innovation opportunities, as well as new co/start-up deployment and investment.

Elias Schulze is an emerging markets media executive and entrepreneur. Elias previously co-founded and managed Kana TV, Ethiopia's leading television network, which was later acquired by Canal+. He is also Managing Partner of The Africa Group, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on specialized opportunities in dynamic start-ups across Africa.
A former Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company, Elias brings extensive strategic business experience to MBF's board. Currently residing in London, Elias is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
Dr. Kathy Shingleton is a Human Resources Executive specializing in healthcare HR and policy development, compliance and professional training. Kathy's career has included executive positions with large healthcare systems including as VP of Human Resources of Virginia Mason Health System in Seattle WA. While there she also served as Special Assistant to the CEO as part of the merger of Virginia Mason and CH Franciscan.
As VP of Human Resources and Employee Services for University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Shingleton supported over 13,000 employees throughout the state of Texas. As an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, she taught strategic management, risk management, quality management and human resources classes, and personally developed hundreds of nurses.
Dr. Shingleton holds a Doctor of Education and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management. She also holds a BS from Texas A&M and received her MBA and Ed.D. degrees from the University of Houston. Kathy lives in Round Rock, TX, where she is actively involved in her local church.
Dr. Sloane is a retired surgeon who specialized in trauma, tho-racic, and transplant surgery. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and his credentials include board certification by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Other leadership roles have included board positions on the Harris Methodist Health Foundation, the RJ White Foundation, and the James L West Presbyterian Special Care Center, and currently include board membership on the Haiti Nursing Foun-dation. Dr. Sloane has held leadership and volunteer roles at his church for over 30 years and is an ordained Presbyterian elder.
Matthew Thompson is an accomplished professional in healthcare investment and management. Currently serving as a General Partner at Enhanced Healthcare Partners in New York and Park City, he has been instrumental in managing the firm's operations since 2014. Matthew's achievements include raising over $1 billion in equity capital and leading six successful buyout transactions, resulting in realized returns exceeding 5x and 50% gross IRR.

Following her residency, Dr. Uwimana's commitment to healthcare led her to the PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital in Kenya, where she made significant contributions as a Family Medicine Specialist. Her tenure in Kenya was marked by her roles as a Family Medicine Resident at the hospital, as well as a Clinical Consultant and Research Advisor for Kabarak University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. In 2019, Dr. Uwimana returned to the United States, driven by her passion to serve the underserved and continue her medical career.
Dr. Uwimana's life outside of her professional endeavors is filled with joy and adventure, shared with her husband and their two children. Together, they cherish traveling and the warmth of gatherings with friends and family.
Bryan Weiss leads a Healthcare Consulting practice where he uses the experience he gained through his leadership positions in healthcare to help medical practices achieve their business and strategic goals.
