Position Overview:

The Haiti Country Coordinator is vital in ensuring the success and sustainability of MBF-supported healthcare programs and initiatives in Haiti. This position requires a dynamic leader capable of managing diverse responsibilities, including partnership building, program monitoring, and resource coordination, while embodying MBF’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Oversight and Coordination:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of MBF projects in Haiti, ensuring they align with organizational goals and community needs.
    • Collaborate with surgeons, project coordinators, and other stakeholders from church-affiliated institutions through email, calls, and in-person visits.
    • Liaise with MBF’s leadership, including the CEO and CFO, to define program direction, create plans, and track progress.
  2. Partnership Engagement:
    • Foster strong relationships with in-country and regional partners, including church organizations and national institutions.
    • Create annual plans, set strategic objectives, and provide regular updates on project progress.
    • Serve as the primary host for visiting MBF teams, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience.
  3. Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Conduct ongoing program reviews to ensure adherence to MBF policies and maintain quality standards.
    • Provide detailed monthly reports on project activities and recommend funding based on performance and needs.
  4. Education and Capacity Building:Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to coordinate continuing education programs, including budget development and resource allocation.
    • Leverage MBF and external resources to enhance professional development opportunities for healthcare staff.
  5. Communications and Representation:
    • Develop educational and promotional materials to raise awareness about MBF-supported projects.
    • Represent MBF in a professional and culturally sensitive manner, consistently reflecting the organization’s mission and values.
  6. Special Projects:
    • Participate in additional projects as determined by MBF leadership, including providing expert advice to partner hospitals, clinics, and church institutions in other regions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare program management, international development, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultures and communities.
  • Proficiency in program monitoring, reporting, and financial oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (Haitian Creole preferred).
